Nicki Minaj Join An Indian Village Get Clean Water
Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has been secretly sending money to help provide villagers in India with access to clean water and basic education. The “Starships” hitmaker has taken to Instagram to post a video clip of a man showing off a new water well and expressing his thanks to donors including Pastor Lydia Sloley, the New York-based minister who first brought Nicki’s attention to the cause in 2015.

Nicki did not reveal exactly where the village is located, but she proudly shared another pair of photos showing female residents praying in one of the new buildings and posing beside new sewing machines. “I’m so proud of our sisters in India,” the hip-hop star wrote.

“God is so good. Their desire was to have water wells & places where they can worship, places where they can learn technology, computers, reading, etc. We’re just getting started. These women are us and we are them!” Fans were quick to applaud Nicki for her charitable gesture, but it’s not the first time the rapper has decided to share her wealth with those in need.

Earlier this month, she went on a spending spree on Twitter after agreeing to cover the costs of various students’ education costs and college needs, as long as they provided proof of their hard work. Nicki subsequently announced plans to establish an official charity to help pay off student debts
